Hello Friends and family! This Blog will keep you all up to date on our journey to follow God's calling in Paraiso, Barahona, Dominican Republic.
During our 2016 United for Paraiso mission trip, ten people gave their life to Christ and were baptized.
Be a part of the change in this poverty stricken community. Support a child in need with a donation of just $100. This donation will provide a child with a seat in the community center to learn English and to be taught about Jesus Christ through our Bible studies.

8% founders John and Tracy Willey (pictured on the right side) are partnering with Rene and Soraya Matos who have been serving the community of Paraiso for 10 years. Check out www.Lighting-the-Darkness.org to learn more about their history and you will see how our passions have merged into one! We look forward to growing God's Kingdom together.
Right in the heart of this small community of 15,000 residents will be a place that kids can learn English, young moms can learn a trade to support their family, elderly can gather for social time, and we can hold Bible studies to teach the word of God.
We are making progress on the Paraiso Community Center. We have hired many locals to complete the project and this has helped the community so much. Our expected completion date is in early fall of 2019. How can you help? Click on the Donate Now button on the home page. To be a part of the next mission team please email us @ email@example.com
Our missionaries, and volunteers are assisting us in building community centers around the globe, beginning in the Dominican Republic. Our first center will break ground in November 2017. Many of these missionaries have been building relationships and mentoring many children and youth in the small town of Paraiso, Barahona, DR for 10 years. If you would like to go on the mission trip in October, subscribe below and we will get back to you within 2 days.
Inspired by a book titled "Kisses from Katie", a song called "I refuse" by Josh Wilson, and a very clear message from God, we came together and decided to begin our non profit in December 2016, and we are partnering with Lighting-The-Darkness.org to break the cycle of poverty for a better future for the elderly, the children and the youth of Paraiso, and other communities as well.
To be the hands and feet of Jesus by showing pure and genuine love and partnering with the local church to care for defenseless children and their families.
There are 164.8 million needy children and 2.1 billion Christians. If just 8% of those Christians added or supported one child there would be no statistic left.
